Vintage Market Days
The spring event is held on the last full weekend of March, and the Christmas event is held on the second full weekend of November! Vintage Market Days is a massive vintage market where vendors offer a wide range of items, including antiques, artwork, clothing and accessories, home decor, tasty treats, and more! Many of the goods are seasonal, making each market special and an ideal place for one-of-a-kind finds!
Germanfest
Germanfest happens on the last full weekend of April. Germanfest attracts thousands of people who spend days enjoying mouthwatering German sausage, scrumptious apple strudel, hearty cheeses, along with homemade bread, cakes, and pies. Events include a 5k and 15k Germanfest Fun Run, a Metric Century Bicycle Rally, a BBQ Cook-Off, a Stein Hoisting Contest, a Dachshund Race, and entertainment for the whole family. Mimes, magicians, clowns, and storytellers entertain children in the Karneval and Kinder Theater. Folks can delight in dancing, music, arts and crafts, a rock-climbing wall, folk dancing, and two stages with non-stop entertainment!
Highway 82/287 Yard Sale
Muenster is a stop along the Red River Valley Tourism Association’s Hwy 82/287 Yard Sale, happening in the first full weekend of June and the first full weekend of September! This fun event features a chain of sales along Highway 82 where shoppers can stop at a variety of garage sales!
Muenster City-wide Garage Sale
This event happens during the first full weekend of September. During the City-wide Garage Sale, the people of Muenster team up to make an extensive route for shopping awesome deals. In years past, there have been more than 40 stops! You never know what you may find, and it’s one of those events where you can make a whole day of hanging around town to shop, eat, and explore.
Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest takes place on the first full weekend of October. Join us for a unique annual celebration of rich German culture, full of Texas fun! It’s all located in the beautiful town of Muenster, Texas, where you’ll enjoy delicious food, lively music and dancing, exciting carnival rides and games, a variety of beers, special events, a fun run, and the finest in German-style entertainment!
Christkindle Market & Christmas Parade
These events happen on the Saturday after Thanksgiving! This German-inspired Christmas market features local artisans who create and sell their own goods. This market is darling and offers excellent gift options for your loved ones! If you are stumped on what to get someone in your life, there’s a good chance you’ll find something for everyone on your list at the Christkindle Market. The Muenster Christmas parade features a nostalgic Christmas spirit, as businesses showcase their dedication to creating a fantastical display for attendees. You are bound to see firetrucks, horses, classic cars, elaborate floats, and more as you enjoy tasty kettle corn and hot chocolate!
